Edit /etc/fstab in Repair Filesystem prompt

I’ve got an disk corrupted and when booting the system hit this error and hung:

Solution

1) boot the system from installation disk 1 and enter “linux rescue”

2) when entered shell prompt, edit file fstab by

vi /mnt/sysimage/etc/fstab

comment out the mount point for the corrupted disk.

3) type “exit” so as to reboot the system. Remember to remove the installation disc before proceeding.
